DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Yangon Arrival.
Your tour guide and diver will welcome you at Yangon International Airport. On arrival, you will have free time to start soaking up the local culture or relax at your hotel.

Day 2: Discover Yangon City.
After breakfast, head downtown to the Central Post Office from where you will begin your discovery of Yangon City. Encompassing the colonial highlights and more traditional architecture, stroll Strand Road and Pansodan jetty. Wander around Scott Market before visiting the National Museum. Later today, explore the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda whose huge golden stupa dominates the city’s skyline. The apex of the stupa is studded with hundreds of priceless gems that glint in the sunshine. This is Myanmar’s most sacred Buddhist site and is purported to have four relics of former Buddhas enshrined within.

Day 3: Yangon – Fly to Bagan.
Today you will take the early morning flight to Bagan, the archaeological wonderland of over 3,000 ancient temples. Welcomed by your local guide and driver at the airport then explore the beautiful Shwezigon Pagoda with the interesting knowledge of Burmese Buddhism.  Continue a visit to Ananda Temple, one of the finest, largest and best preserved in Old Bagan. Along the way, you will stop by some surrounding temples. Another highlight of today is the panoramic sunset view from the second highest pagoda of Bagan, the Shwe Sandaw Pagoda.

Day 4: Bagan Sightseeing Tour.
After breakfast at the hotel, start the day at Nyaung U Market where you have great chance to meet and talk with the friendly locals. Then, visit Nan Paya Pagoda, one of the biggest temples in Bagan. Enjoy an unique experience of a horsecart ride, head to Minkaba Gubyaukyi Temple, and continue your day to Manuha Temple. The last stop for today is at a local lacquer ware workshop and learn how this traditional piece of art is made.

Day 5: Bagan – Fly to Heho – Inle Lake.
Today you will take the flight from Naung U to Heho. Upon arrival, take a nice drive to Pindaya through the picturesque countryside of the Shan State. Visit Pindaya’s limestone cave with its maze of chambers displaying more than 8,000 Buddha statues and local handicraft workshops producing Shan paper made from mulberry bark. They also make traditional umbrellas made from the same paper that used by monks all around the country. Then drive to the pier on Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar is located 900 meters above sea level and is home to a unique oneleg rowing technique of the Intha people for a motorboat to your hotel, check in and relax.

Day 6: Inle Lake – Indein – Inle Lake.
This morning, visit the “5 Day Market” which is held in different villages surrounding the lake. This is definitely a fascinating place to enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and exotic market atmosphere. After lunch, the boat will take you to the beautiful temple of Indein, located on the hill overlooking the lake. It is relaxing to walk along the corridors and enjoy the giant columns that have been left to the nature for centuries.

Day 7: Inle Lake – Fly to Yangon – Departure.
Today, you will fly to Yangon, where your connecting departure flight awaits.
